What to expect
At your first acupuncture appointment, we’ll begin with a relaxed conversation to understand your reasons for attending, your health history, and overall wellbeing. I’ll also take a traditional diagnosis by feeling your pulse and looking at your tongue, which helps me tailor your treatment to your unique needs. Depending on your condition, I may carry out gentle physical assessments too.
You’ll then receive your first acupuncture treatment, which may include complementary therapies such as cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, or infrared light. Each step will be fully explained, and you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and feel comfortable throughout.
Before your appointment, you’ll receive an information sheet and an intake form to complete—helping us make the most of our time together.
